BMW E90 vs E36 Cluster for Sim Racing: Which One to Choose?

Both are genuine BMW clusters converted for games, and both work with SimHub. They differ in looks, number of functions and vibe. Here's a quick comparison to help you choose.

BMW E90 cluster: more functions, more modern look

The E90 is the cluster from the 2005 to 2012 BMW 3 Series. It has full backlighting and lots of warning lights. In games it shows live speed, RPM, fuel level, turn signals, high beam, handbrake, traction control and more. You set it up with our Clustor Configurator app, and the software keeps getting updates. Choose diesel (scale up to 5,500 RPM) or petrol (up to 7,000 RPM), with a km/h or MPH dial.

BMW E36 cluster: a 90s classic

The E36 is the iconic cluster from the 90s BMW 3 Series. Orange backlighting and analog needles give it a vibe no screen can fake. It shows live speed and RPM plus mileage. It's the pick for drift fans in Assetto Corsa and lovers of classic BMWs.

Which one should you choose?

If you want the cluster to show as much from the game as possible, choose the E90. If the vibe matters most and you mostly drive sideways, choose the E36. And if you have one of these cars in your garage, the choice makes itself: the same cluster in your car and in your sim is something our customers love to write about.

Both clusters arrive programmed and tested, you connect them with two cables and we help you remotely with the setup. Check out the BMW E90 cluster for PC games and the BMW E36 cluster for PC games.
